Please keep in mind that evolving a dragon is permanent and once you have performed the evolution you will no longer have the original base dragon in your park. The base dragon is the dragon that you will transform or "evolve" into the new dragon. To obtain one of these dragons you'll need to meet certain requirements, and also have the necessary base dragon. There are several kinds of dragons that can be evolved in DragonVale. For the purposes of this article these dragons will be referred to as "evolution dragons". To obtain one of these dragons you'll need to collect special decorations, grow certain treats, or wait for certain weather conditions.
Some dragons in DragonVale can only be obtained by transforming existing dragons in your park.
